difference between each and everyDifference between each and every

There is a big difference between each and every. Both each and every are determiners  which are used with singular nouns to indicate quantity of two or more members composing an aggregate, or a group.  Each directs attention to the separate members of the same group whereas every emphasizes inclusiveness or universality. Suppose you see a group of 10 kids playing in the playground, and you can make out that they are all loving the game. You can structure or compose your statement like following and see the difference between each and every.

Each of the children is loving the game. (you are talking about the kids right in front of your eyes- your statement is limited to 10 kids)

Every child loves the game. (you are talking about the kids right in front of your eyes as well as about the kids in general.)

The following examples will make the usage clear.

Each Every
Each of you knows that William Shakespeare is the greatest playwright of all times. (you are addressing a group of certain number of people right in front you.) Everyone knows that William Shakespeare is the greatest playwright of all times. (you are generalizing the notion.)
